Director Appointment Schedule

The Directors of Rotary International from around the world are nominated from Zones. With 34 Zones and 17 Directors, there is always a director from within Zones 7 and 8.

The rotation of nominations between Zones 7A, 7B, 8A and 8B was agreed many years ago, and takes account of the different number of districts within the sub-zones.

Zones 7A and 8A, Australia-based districts 23 districts
Zone 7B, Philippines districts 10 districts
Zone 8B, New Zealand and Pacific Islands 6 districts

Thus, within a thirty-two year period, which gives 16 directors for a two-year period, the number of directors is as follows:

Zone 7A - 4
Zone 7B - 4
Zone 8A - 5
Zone 8B - 3
